My walks and Ultra Events

The Beginning
I never used to walk and I was not athletic. I wouldn’t even walk home from the pub without complaining.
It started with short walks during the lockdown. Each day the walks would get longer until one day I had walked 20 miles. At that point I realised I had stumbled on something amazing.

The Training
Every week I complete a long walk on Saturday. A short walk on a Monday with my walking group and at least one trip to the Gym.
Like most people I work full time and am very busy so anything extra training after this is a bonus.

The Experience
I have been overwhelmed by what I have achieved. So far I have completed five 100k ultra events and been on many adventures by myself.
I love the things I see, visiting new places and meeting new people.
Not all those who wander are lost.
